On the first day of Christmas…

Or at the very least, the first day of December. The first day of Christmas isn’t for ages yet. However, I am already full of the Christmas spirit and Starbucks eggnog lattes.

You know, the Muppet Christmas Carol came out when I was eight years old and sometime not long after that, I read the original Dickens’ short story. And – not to horribly spoil anyone by the ending – but it never fails to make me well up when Ebenezer Scrooge declares that he has learned the error of his ways, that he will learn how to give instead of take, that he will love people and make sure they know it, that he will laugh and enjoy himself and never worry about the hard hearts of others, and that while it was a Christmastime that taught him these lessons, they are not ones to keep just for the season. “I will honour Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year!”

5 Fandom Friday: 5 Womances I Love

As you will see often on this blog, this is a late post. It’s no longer Friday, and it is no longer Galentine’s Day. But here is a post for these anyway. 5 Fandom Friday is the brainchild of The Nerdy Girlie and SuperSpaceChick, giving bloggers themes to post about on a Friday. promises (but less pie-y)

This is not a Les Miserables blog, but with the last two posts and one of the things I was going to talk about in this one, it’s rather turning into one. But, I promise, only the first part of this is going to be Miz-related. I will mark the point where it isn’t with a nice big marker so that the people here for that will know they can stop reading and go back to working, or watching TV or reblogging pictures of ducks that think they are dinosaurs. (…that is what everyone else does on the internet, yes? It is what I do.)

Where are the Snoddys of yesteryear?

Everything on this blog prior to this post is 2009. Nothing’s been deleted, it just… stopped being updated. Instead of letting the WordPress account become another internet fossil, I thought I’d pop back in, start writing again, and paint the whole thing pink. So I […]
